The View from China

The Chinese view of the 2016 US President Election and now President Trump is one that arguably strengthens perceptions of the Chinese Communist Party. Yun Sun of the Stimson Center argues that Trump’s entertainment value along with laymen’s style of speech made him an accessible candidate, but according to Chinese tradition, a wise, benevolent leader remains the most effective.
