What a Night: EGF at the NYSE!

Mar 28, 2019

This past Monday night, EGF was honored to be the guest of Betty Liu at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), along with the Manhattan chapter of the Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO).

Throughout the evening, we took part in a series of unforgettable activities, including getting to take a behind-the-scenes tour of the closing bell, receiving a historical overview of the storied NYSE, a cocktail reception on the famous floor, and a lively and interesting fireside chat between Ian Bremmer, our founder and board president and Betty Liu, fellow EGF board member and executive vice chairman of the NYSE.

We got to meet a number of inspired — and inspiring — YPO members and talk about EGF’s mission and work. During their fireside side, Ian and Betty talked about the main events currently being focused on in the world stage. And in case you were worried: Ian gave us all permission to not think about Brexit anymore this year (thank goodness!). Ian and Betty also highlighted a couple of ways EGF has been working to create positive change in the midst of the world’s chaos and uncertainty, including our rural schools project, Globalization and You and the results of our recent research Worlds Apart coming out of our cutting-edge Independent America project.

We are incredibly grateful to have been included in the evening events and for having the opportunity to talk about our mission and why it matters with such an esteemed group of people.

We can’t wait to go back soon!
