IGA shares global public opinion research with The Atlantic Council
A discussion about how the foreign public view the United States and its foreign policy
On Wednesday, June 16th, IGA research associate Caroline Gray joined the Atlantic Council’s New American Engagement Initiative for an event with NAEI Co-director Christopher Preble about public opinion on US foreign policy, specifically how the rest of the world views the United States.
This Future Foreign Policy event focused on IGA’s recent report “Democracy in Disarray: How the world sees the US and its example.” Some of the questions they considered included: What is the link between interventionism and anti-Americanism? What are the sources of goodwill towards the United States? How has the US response to COVID-19 and the Donald Trump presidency changed opinions?
This post is part of Independent America, a research project led out by IGA senior fellow Mark Hannah, which seeks to explore how US foreign policy could better be tailored to new global realities and to the preferences of American voters.
